Lebanon | Lebanese MP: We will never make a deal with Israel at the expense of Palestinians

Member of the Development and Liberation Bloc, Lebanese MP Muhammad Khawaja, told Unews Press Agency that the negotiation framework set by Speaker Nabih Berri left no chance for Israel to direct and affect the path of the negotiations, stressing that the Lebanese people will never make a deal with Israel at the expense of the Palestinian people.

Khawaja underlinred that the main point in the negotiations is the indirect negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations and US mediation, on the land and maritime borders.

He further explained that the Lebanese negotiating delegation has clear guidance and instructions implying that "We will not retreat or give up a single inch of our land or sea."

In accordance with international laws, companies operating in the disputed areas and within territories claimed by Lebanon is to be suspended immediately, and this is why Israel fears the Lebanese stance, the Lebanese MP added.

He concluded stressing "our position is fixed and there will be no retreat," highlighting that Lebanon will neither negotiate nor make compromises with Israel.
