Iraq | Asaib Ahl al-Haq: We confronted US occupation at the time America was a superpower


Secretary General of Iraq's Asaib Ahl al-Haq Qais al-Khazali affirmed on Tuesday that his movement confronted the US occupation at the time America was considered a superpower and forced US troops to withdraw from Iraq.

"We confronted in 2003 the American occupation when it was the superpower in the world and we defeated the occupation and forced them to leave Iraq without leaving any base for them." al-Khazali said in an address on the 100th anniversary of the twentieth revolution.

He also revealed that the second round of dialogue between Iraq and America has started, adding "the second round of dialogue with the United States will begin in the middle of this month, the Iraqi negotiator should remember this revolution and put it before his eyes."

TheSecretary General continued "The Iraqi negotiator must feel responsible that he represents Iraq in negotiating with an aggressor force, and the American occupation must know that this conscious and courageous generation are the descendants of the twentieth revolution."

He went on to say "Iran issued a warrant for the arrest of those responsible for the assassination of the martyr Soleimani, including Trump, and we address the Parliament to follow up on the case of the martyr, to do the right to it."
