Iraq | al-Binaa Alliance: The Largest Parliamentary Bloc Led by al-Maliki and al-Amiri

A number of deputies met in the presence of the head of State of Law Coalition Nouri al-Maliki and the head of Fatah Alliance Hadi al-Amiri, where the participants in the meeting announced the formation of the most numerous parliamentary bloc in the Iraqi parliament.

The bloc, which they called al-Binaa Alliance, involves 145 deputies and the numbers is expected to increase.

The alliance involves:
- al-Binaa bloc
- Fatah
- State of Law Coalition
- Victory Alliance Faleh al-fayad wing
- Iraqi Forces Coalition
- Arab Decision Alliance
- National Party of the Masses
- Babylon Movement
- Movement of the Will

"We are now the biggest bloc and the MP is free to make his decision, and we hope other parties to join us tomorrow." al-Amri said during the bloc announcement.

For his part, chairman of the Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) Faleh al-Fayad said they were able to finally announce the biggest bloc and they hope Kurds would join them.
